Jennifer has been helping people in to find their life’s purpose and connect to God on a deeper level long before she became a coach. As a pastor, Jen worked with members of her congregation to deep their spiritual walk as well as discern their true life’s purpose.
In the same way, Jen’s work as an advocate, organizer and public policy advisor has enabled her to work with non-profit organizations, churches and legislative bodies to determine their direction and work together to create change that will transform the world for good. Jen’s life purpose is all about transformation.
Her radio show, Spiritually Speaking with Rev. Jen, is broadcast on Mondays at 8pm EDT – most often on the second and fourth Mondays of the month. The topics of past shows have included the following as spiritual practices: travel, music, nature and gathering in community.
Jen’s blog, Shifting the Script, has the following tagline: rewrite your life, transform the world. Jen believes that the power of individuals working together for a common purpose is the most powerful force on earth (ok, so maybe second only to compound interest.) Working with these individuals to move beyond the forces that tell us as one person we really can’t change the world, she has motivated and inspired thousands to join the movement for racial, social, and gender justice.
A sought after public speaker and gifted preacher, Jen takes all opportunities to share her vision with others. Inspired to move from intention to action, Jen works with religious professionals, as well as organizers and advocates within faith communities to stay connected to the Source and ultimate motivation for the work that is done in the name of faith. She knows that unless those professionals stay connected spiritually, they will run the risk of become burnt out or sold out.
As a former special educator and vocational coach for persons with varying levels of disabilities, Jen knows that if there is a will there is a way. She knows that intentions and expectations are powerful tools in individual and community transformation. If you can dream it, you can become it. However far too often our fears and our apprehensions prevent us from seeing it in the first place. This is when coaching can be a transformative force for change.
