Mandy is a life coach specializing in peak performance, leadership, and transition coaching and the owner of Inner Winning Coaching. Her focus is working with athletes to maximize their potential by quieting their negative self-talk, fears, and doubts. She helps them connect to who they are, how they are showing up, and how their thoughts and feelings effect their actions and ability to accomplish their goals. Mandy’s clients improve their confidence and leadership skills, increase motivation and focus, live more authentically, learn how to overcome adversity, and are more successful at reaching their goals. She helps them ignite their inner greatness to live and play fearless, focused, and free.
Mandy comes to life coaching after being a Division I head softball coach and a collegiate athlete. Her college coaching career spanned across 20 years and included coaching at all 3 divisions (DI, D II, and DIII). Mandy wanted to expand her ability to help others reach their full potential and achieve greater results in life so she looked for a way she could do that. When she learned about life coaching, which would give her the ability to help people in so many meaningful ways, she knew it was the perfect match. She understands the challenges athletes encounter and believes in coaching the person, not the player. Mandy sees tremendous opportunities bringing life coaching and sports together. Even though Mandy’s primary focus is athletes, the work she does crosses many lines. She has worked with men and women of various ages on career transitions, creating new life paths, weight loss, and business leadership.
Mandy has been a regular on the Life Coach Radio Network since its inception. She started as a host with the Life Coach Chat programs and began hosting her solo show, Train Your Brain to Up Your Game with Coach Mandy in August. Mandy’s show goes beyond the skills and drills of sports, she has information and content that anyone can learn from. To date, some of her topics have been; the importance of an athlete knowing their values and character, motivation fear vs. choice, and how being an athlete leads to life success. Future topics will look at; eating disorders in athletes, navigating the college recruiting process, and interviews with people on how sports have influenced who they are and their lives.
Mandy is a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and an Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP). She is a 2010 graduate of the ICF-accredited training program at the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). She has a Masters Degree in Human Performance from Southern Connecticut State University and a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Connecticut State University. She is also a certified athletic trainer from the National Athletic Trainers Association and a Four-Star Master Coach from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. During her college playing years her team never finished lower than 3rd in the country. She has one national championship, a second place, and two third place finishes from her playing days.
Mandy’s passion and commitment to helping others bring out their best is what has made her a successful coach. She wants her clients to shine bright, live big, and be brave so they can ignite their inner greatness to live and play fearless, focused, and free.
